Travel Freely is the app that gave me the confidence to jump into points and miles! It is an easy to use, yet powerful tool that helps you track credit cards for up to 2 people and decide between multiple credit cards right in the app. Using Travel Freely, you will be reminded not to miss a welcome bonus and have your 5/24 status with a few clicks!

First off, if you’re not sure where to start with points and miles, Travel Freely starts users with easy to follow steps. These steps are as basic as apply for a new card, enter the card approval date, and confirm welcome bonus earned. The app also recommends that users pace themselves and apply for new cards after around 90 days from the last approval. That is great for beginners! It helps to get you into the habit of tracking your credit cards and helps to ensure that you do not miss your welcome bonus.

I find it incredibly useful to search for credit cards in the app. You can trust the Travel Freely app CardGenie tool to show you the best credit card offer, even if that offer is not attached to an affiliate link. It is important to me and to Travel Freely that you can be confident you are getting the best welcome bonus offer available with us!

The CardGenie will recommend cards for you and your player 2 based on factors such as Do you own a business? Have you applied for more than or less than 5 credit cards in the past 24 months? You can filter by banks (American Express or Chase) and factors such as no international transaction fees. (By the way, a player 2 is a partner, points and miles friend, parent, or other person who you can work with to refer each other back and forth to travel credit cards to maximize points.)

Speaking of 5/24, you may be aware that Chase has a rule that they will not approve you for a new credit card if you have already applied for 5 credit cards within the last 24 months. This rule can limit the number of Chase cards that you’re eligible for. The Travel Freely app tracks 5/24 status for you and your player 2. This is much easier than trying to remember when you applied for that pesky big box store credit card to figure out if you can go for the next travel credit card on your list! For more info, Travel Freely has a great primer on Chase 5/24.
